Busy

End of the year stuff…suffering a little (from the pictures you can guess if that’s true or not) then going back to tundra-land. I hope your new year finds you well. We are rich in relationships…so very rich. Money can’t buy that.

Ah yes, To be in favor with Family, God and even some of the wild life…priceless

And Yes, that’s our daughter at the end of the walkway in a wheelchair that so many of you prayed for and walked with us through a tough year. Prayer works. Miracles do exist. Living proof that God sometimes says “Not yet”

    1. Yes, happy new year Suzette. I wish I didn’t need reminders of God’s caring love for us. All of my life’s reminders humble me in smaller increments than should be. Restful is a good word, I should adopt it

    1. Thanks Erroll, we could use some of your heat even this far south. Woke up to the freezing mark this morning. I guess our northern weather followed us south for a couple days only thankfully. Yes to the variety. Love it. Brought a camera along.

  1. Beautiful Gary!

Relationships are truly priceless … each prayer is heard … God’s miracles surround us … and eternity will one day reveal His “Not yet” perfect timing as your picture of the angel hovering above your daughter in the clouds assured me.

May each day we’re each given in the year ahead find us rejoicing in our relationships and the new miracles of answered prayers . . . Happy New Year brother!

Keep Looking Up ^ … His Best is Yet to Come!

  2. Rich indeed, Gary. I can smell the sea air from here. And as I’m reflecting on your words and photos, and this past year, your words “not yet” fit so nicely with two other words that always stand out to me: “so that”… 😃
Here’s to you and your beautiful family! Happy New Year! ✨🙏

  3. Beautiful photos and such a warm glimpse into these busy days. The moments you share gently remind us that real richness is found in time together, gratitude, and small joys along the way. Thank you for sharing these glimpses of life. May the new year bring continued peace, health, and many more moments worth savoring.

  5. I love when young people know how to have fun! (With each other, in real presence)

Thank you for sharing the blessing of your daughter. Give hugs from your readers, please.

This looks like an area where we had a family reunion years ago. I do cherish the ocean & beach.

    1. You are right Kathy…our family enjoys one another immensely. We already have teens who are total strangers, asking to be part of the beach fun. Golf Shores Alabama is a great place…a little quieter in winter. I can get beach pictures with no people in them. The people taking care of our northern place keep sending snow pictures….ahhh. The beach life will make me a bum in no time.

  6. gf – Please come home as soon as you’re able. You know that we miss you and Minnesota needs you. I’m not sure the ocean loves you like we love you. It was great talking with you on the phone and letting me take up your beautiful vacation break time. That was a real gift. Wishing you and your family well. JDB

    1. Thankyou so much Edward. It is a great blessing to be able to travel and have an all family vacation on a beach together. Our daughter was willing to endure some hardship to do it and considers it worth the areas of discomfort. It helps to have loving siblings and helpful neices and nephews taking turns helping her physical needs.

You have a great new year!

    1. It’s an experiment Matt. We wanted to see if our daughter thrives more in a warmer climate in the winter. We intend to discuss that from many angles over the next year. We also wanted a whole family get-together as our oldest daughter’s family and college age grandchildren are south. Not sure if this can happen again so totally enjoyed each other. In a couple weeks I will be ice fishing again…meanwhile I’ll take pictures of waves sand and any wildlife I see…including people
