My “before it snows” list is way too long. Harvest first is my motto. That goes out the window when family visits. Somewhere between the lines, the garden, hunting, fishing, dehydrating and freezing food for the long winter take precedence. I’m almost 500 emails behind and hope it doesn’t reach a thousand before the snow flies. Reading blogs are way behind and interacting with texts as well. Sigh….I’ll get there. meanwhile a couple pictures to share will hopefully make your “click” worth it for the few seconds you spend with me. Have a great end of Autumn everyone.

I have seen that journalists are still finding angry people, our family still loves one another, and God is still God and wants a loving relationship with us, but allowing us the freedom to do all we do with Him and His creation.
I’m having good talks in the boat, ATV and walking the woods. Maybe that is the most important thing I’m doing this Fall.
Gary
Yes, enjoy the life God has given you! The rest will sort itself out. Or not. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Thanks Joy. So true on the sorting out or not. I’m so glad for those who choose to know God, give HIm all the credits and praise HIm.

Especially since I’m finally getting some relief for Crohn’s Disease! Two more weeks to the next infusion of drugs, but I’m just so thankful. I didn’t develop it until my 80s! Sure puts things in perspective, even too many emails. . . .

That’s great, Gary.
Did you know our daily talks with God are etched in eternity? I didn’t, until I had a dream.
In it a man approached me as I was walking and talking to God. He handed me a small scroll. I opened it. It said,” Messages received.” Along with it was a long list of talks with God over my lifetime.
Somewhere between My Yay! and Uh-Oh! I woke up.
May you have a Great coming season talking with God.
P.S.
Beautiful pics, as always.

Good for you, Gary. You have your perspective in the right place! Love your photos. Those are some nice fish!! Will you hunt for that bear when the season comes in?

Thanks Dwight. I wish I could hunt on our land for bear. It’s a lottery draw. Ironically I can hunt 30 miles west for bear, but I have 6 bear that hang out behind the shop. Some a bit too big for having grand kids around. Bear meat is very tasty.

You might have to load up a couple and haul them down the road a few miles!! :>)

It will catch up I’m sure RJ. I scraped frost off the car windshield this morning. Snow not far behind here.

Thanks Wynn. For some reason the fall skies produce tons of color. The daytime blue is a deeper blue. The evening clouds when highlighted by the sun setting are spectacular. Enjoy the rest of your Autumn

Thanks Alicia. My wife and I do a lot more together than pictures reveal. She tries to stay out of them and I’m not much of a selfie guy. I’m glad you enjoy the posts. By the way, Cheryl and I just played scrabble in the cabin under the sign you made…if you ever get our eay…we have a rustic cabin in the woods…about 100 yards from the bear picture. It’s safe

The bear is shy Nancy. I only see him on the trail cams. We have a little yearling that I chased off the deck awhile back. Now he is shy as well.

Amen, God is still extending grace and His loving kindness to us as we navigate life. Thanks for the wonderful photos; you did some great fishing! Those are quite good-looking and sized fish!.
You are indeed blessed with great abundance (in mind, heart and circumstances) Gary. Peace to you.
P.S. Thanks for the update. You are most kind.

so true of God’s Grace Suzette. Navigating life. That struck a chord. We are in an ICU waiting room right now. Our loved one is in God’s hands. Life has some very quick turns sometimes. We know God’s peace. 100 years from now we will know how important that is.

Uh oh! I put the wrong comment on the wrong post. Well then Hello Gary! That was my husband’s name. He passed away in 2002. A great name! I started following you while back because of your pictures. I loved how you got through the storm. Nice to meet you, Gary! Sorry about the other comment!

Hey, Gary, I particularly enjoyed seeing the haul of FISH! If you get an opportunity to see my “fishing expedition,” you’ll understand why I appreciate your catch!

I wish you lived close by as well, I would call you to jump in the boat. I often fish alone but try to call someone close who has expressed an interest in getting on the water and wet a line.

The bear I chased off our deck awhile back was closer, and smaller. This was a trail cam shot of a big one that Has been hanging around but keeps it’s distance so far. Having small children visiting sometimes keeps us alert and I take protective measures whoever in the woods. I worry more about a cougar that I saw recently near the mailbox.
